The Spring Chicken Chase is happening on Saturday, May 31st starting at 1pm from Ladder 15 (1528 Sansom). We held a chicken chase this past fall in Old City and everyone had a great time. This time around, we're going to change things up and hold the event in the Center City/Rittenhouse area. Again, many thanks to Karla Resendiz for helping with the event!

For those who missed the last event, here's how it works. We all arrive at Ladder 15 at 1pm to get organized. Everyone in attendance puts $20 into a communal pot; one person is chosen at random to be the chicken and dons the (provided) chicken costume, grabs the money, and picks a bar within a predefined section of the city (this time, Center City/Rittenhouse area, a map will be provided). The chicken gets a 30-minute head start to head to a bar within the defined area on the map. Everyone else splits into teams and attempts to find the chicken while he or she is drinking with everyone’s money. If you find the chicken, you get to drink with them, with drinks paid for from the communal pot. Whenever any team member peeks their head into a bar to look for the chicken, all team members must have a drink.

Last year was the first time we hosted this event and it was a blast.
