2010 Memberships
 Liberty offers skipper, crew, and frostbite memberships. Crew and skipper members are entitled to a $200 rebate on “Basic Keelboat Sailing” (ASA 101) or “Basic Coastal Cruising” (ASA 103) at any ASA certified sailing school (after all dues are paid; this offer is good only on full season dues). Frostbite members sail ONLY at Frostbite. Discounted family memberships are available.

Skipper Membership (Full Season)
Experienced sailors, those with ASA Coastal Cruising certification or equivalent experience, can join as skippers. To become a skipper, you must take an on–the–water
test with a flag officer. Racing skippers must take a rules test. Skippers can helm boats during racing and sign boats out for cruising. A skipper membership includes a season of sailing from April through November. COST: $1,100. (+ $100. first year initiation fee).
Crew Membership (Full Season)
You can join as a crew member with no sailing experience. A crew membership includes a season of sailing from April through November. COST: $750. a year + $100. initiation fee.
Frostbite Membership (Partial Season)
You can also join Liberty just for Spring or Fall Frostbite, which is a laid back Sunday afternoon racing series (sometimes on Saturdays due to holidays). If you join for Spring Frostbite and then decide to join for the full season, the cost of Frostbite comes off your full season dues.
Frostbite membership is limited to scheduled Frostbite sailing ONLY, except for one trial night of regular season sailing on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. See the
calendar for a list of frostbite sailing dates. COST: $200 Fall (10 weeks); $150 Spring (6 weeks). Guests are not permitted to sail during Frostbite.
Discounted Family Memberships
Family memberships are available for crew and skipper memberships. When two family members join, a discount of approximately 30% is applied to the second membership. COST: two skipper members – $1,870 per year for both; one skipper and one crew member – $1,625 per year for both; two crew members – $1,275 per year for both. Every family member pays the $100 initiation fee.
Discount for Seniors
Members having reached their 65th birthday by the beginning of the season and having 2+ full years in the club shall receive a 25% reduction in regular season dues thereafter.
Members having reached their 65th birthday by the beginning of the season and having 15+ full years in the club shall receive a 50% reduction in regular season dues thereafter.
Payments
Full season membership fees are due March 15; however, you may pay over a three month period on March 15, April 15, and May 15.
Please make your check payable to Liberty Sailing Club (we cannot process credit card payments). We appreciate members who pay dues with one payment!
