Philadelphia Marine Center operates the marina where we lease dock space and boat slips. The Marine Center is not associated with Liberty Sailing Club.

The Liberty Sailing Club web site operates in a UNIX environment and is hosted by http://www.bluehost.com. The rich dynamic content is provided by a number of applications made freely available by the open-source software community.

Tide Predictions
The tide prediction data that appears on our home page was designed and programmed for Liberty Sailing by volunteer member M. Nocifore. The software relies on the XTide software package to calculate tide predictions. XTide utilizes the same alogorithms used by the US National Ocean Service. To learn more about the harmonic files used to calculate tide predictions see harmonic data.

The Liberty website stores several years of tide data for the Deleware River, Municipal Pier 11, 39° 57.20 N   75° 8.30 W, in an SQL database. A php program dynamically generates the graphic image seen on our home page.
